Nylatrack™ PA6 is a heavy-duty track plate material designed to reduce the weight and noise of tracked vehicles such as subsea trenchers (ROVs), excavators, bulldozers and crawlers. Track plates (also known as track shoes or track pads) made from Nylatrack™ PA6 weigh up to 80% less than comparable steel plates, leading to a significant reduction in ground pressure and soil compression all while maintaining excellent traction. The nylon 6 material exhibits great resistance to wear, corrosion and adhesion, making for a long service life with low cleaning effort. In addition to low rates of deformation under load, the flexible material exhibits unique bending behavior that helps to absorb vibrations from the equipment and muffle the noise of the undercarriage.
Nylatrack™ plasticized nylon track plates find successful application on a wide range of on-land and subsea tracked vehicles. More than 25 standard track plate designs are available, with the additional option of customer-specified designs.
Ertalon™ 6 SA NU PA6 demonstrates an excellent combination of mechanical strength, rigidity, toughness, mechanical damping ability, as well as resistance to deformation (creep) and wear. In addition to these properties, this particular grade also features superior electrical insulation and outstanding chemical resistance.
Ertalon™ 6 SA NU PA6 is PMUC-certified and has passed rigorous testing at laboratories approved by EDF (Électricité de France) to meet PMUC requirements for use in nuclear facilities. Each shipment is accompanied by a PMUC certificate that includes the production batch number.
MCG offers a range of engineering plastic semi-finished products that are PMUC-approved by third-party certified laboratories in France. PMUC is the standard for products and materials used in power plants — including electric, nuclear, and thermal energy facilities.
Ertalon™ 6 PLA NU PA6 is an unmodified cast nylon 6 grade and combines high mechanical strength, stiffness and hardness with good resistance to creep, wear, fatigue and heat aging properties. Additionally, this material displays good sliding properties and machinability, as well as electrical insulation and resistance to gamma and x-ray radiation. Ertalon™ 6 PLA NU PA6 is PMUC-certified and has passed stringent tests by an EDF-approved laboratory to meet PMUC requirements for use on nuclear sites. Each shipment is accompanied with a PMUC certificate including production batch number. MCG offers a range of engineering stock shape products that hold PMUC approval from third party certified laboratories in France. PMUC is the standard for products and materials used in electric, nuclear and thermal power plants.
